Maxxafen – Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC
Maxxafen is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Thiamethoxam 12.6% and Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% as a ZC (zeon, a mixed capsule suspension/suspension concentrate) formulation. It is used for the control of Jassids, Aphids, Thrips and Bollworms in cotton. Thiamethoxam and Lambda-Cyhalothrin act through two different modes of action on the insect nervous system.
As a ZC formulation, Maxxafen is diluted in water before spray application. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the product label for cotton.

- Contains Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% as active ingredients
- Formulated as a Zeon (ZC) capsule suspension/suspension concentrate blend
- Insecticide category product for pest management
- Registered use in cotton, among other listed crops
- Targets jassids, aphids, thrips and bollworms
- Dual mode of action: nAChR agonism and sodium channel modulation
This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid that binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the insect nervous system, causing continuous nerve excitation (IRAC Group 4A). Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that modulates voltage-gated sodium channels, causing prolonged nerve depolarization (IRAC Group 3A). Together, they provide combined systemic and contact/knockdown activity against a broad range of sap-sucking and bollworm pests.
Maxxafen (Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
- Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
