Cartap Pro – Cartap Hydrochloride 4% GR
Cartap Pro is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Cartap Hydrochloride 4% as a granular (GR) formulation. It is used for the control of stem borer in rice (paddy). Cartap hydrochloride is a nereistoxin-analogue insecticide that acts on the insect nervous system, and is also registered for control of leaf folder and whorl maggot in rice.
As a granular formulation, Cartap Pro is applied directly to the field soil or standing water without dilution in a spray tank. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the product label for rice.

Cartap hydrochloride is a nereistoxin-analogue insecticide that acts on the insect central nervous system by blocking nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, leading to paralysis and death of the target pest. Because it is applied as granules, it provides prolonged availability of the active ingredient in the root zone and standing water of paddy fields. Cartap hydrochloride is classified under IRAC Group 14 (nereistoxin analogues).
Cartap Pro (Cartap Hydrochloride 4% GR) is broadcast directly onto the soil surface or standing water in the rice field, without dilution, following the timing recommended on the approved product label.
