  • Contains 2,4-D Dimethyl Amine Salt 58% as the active ingredient
  • Formulated as a Soluble Liquid/Concentrate (SL)
  • Herbicide category product for weed management
  • Registered use in maize, among other listed crops
  • Controls a range of broad-leaved weeds
  • Systemic, synthetic-auxin mode of action

2,4-D is a phenoxy-acetic acid herbicide that acts as a synthetic auxin, mimicking the natural plant hormone indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). It is absorbed by weed foliage and disrupts normal hormonal balance, causing uncontrolled and abnormal cell division and growth in susceptible broad-leaved weeds, which leads to disruption of vascular tissue and plant death. 2,4-D is classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 4 (synthetic auxins).

Messy (2,4-D Dimethyl Amine Salt 58% SL) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a post-emergence foliar spray in maize, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.

  • Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and spraying
  • Avoid spray drift onto sensitive or non-target crops
