- Contains Emamectin Benzoate 5% as the active ingredient
- Formulated as a Water Soluble Granule (SG)
- Insecticide category product for pest management
- Registered use in cotton, among other listed crops
- Targets bollworms and other lepidopteran larvae
- Glutamate-gated chloride channel-activating mode of action
Emamectin benzoate is an avermectin-derivative insecticide that activates glutamate-gated chloride channels in insect nerve and muscle cells. This causes an influx of chloride ions, leading to hyperpolarization of the cell membrane, irreversible paralysis and death of susceptible larvae. Emamectin benzoate is classified under IRAC Group 6 (chloride channel activators).
Maxxbenz (Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG) is dissolved in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
- Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
