Oxymaxx – Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC
Oxymaxx is a herbicide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Oxyfluorfen 23.5% as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation. It is used for the control of weeds such as Chenopodium album and Amaranthus viridis in onion. Oxyfluorfen is a diphenyl ether herbicide that acts through contact activity, disrupting the cell membranes of susceptible weeds shortly after emergence.
Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC is also registered for weed control in rice (direct-sown), tea, potato, groundnut and mentha. As an emulsifiable concentrate, Oxymaxx is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, dose, timing and weed recommendations on the approved product label.

- Contains Oxyfluorfen 23.5% as the active ingredient
- Formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
- Herbicide category product for weed management
- Registered use in onion, among other listed crops
- Controls broad-leaved weeds such as Chenopodium album and Amaranthus viridis
- Contact-type, PPO-inhibiting mode of action
Oxyfluorfen is a diphenyl ether herbicide that inhibits the enzyme protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO), leading to the accumulation of protoporphyrin IX in plant tissue. In the presence of light, this causes peroxidation of cell membrane lipids and rapid desiccation of susceptible weed tissue. Oxyfluorfen acts mainly through contact activity on emerging or newly germinated weeds and falls under HRAC/WSSA Group 14 (PPO inhibitors).
Oxymaxx (Oxyfluorfen 23.5% EC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a uniform spray using standard knapsack or boom sprayers. Application timing and weed growth stage should follow the recommendations specified on the approved product label.
- Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and spraying
- Avoid spray drift onto sensitive or non-target crops
- Keep out of reach of children and away from food, feed, and water sources
- Store in a cool, dry place in original packaging
