Dimethomorph is a cinnamic acid amide (CAA) fungicide that disrupts cell wall formation in oomycete pathogens by interfering with cellulose synthase activity, preventing normal spore germination and hyphal growth. Dimethomorph is classified under FRAC Group 40 (CAA fungicides), and is specifically effective against oomycete pathogens such as those causing late blight and downy mildew.
Drenza (Dimethomorph 50% WP) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in potato, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
