Tyneur – Thiamethoxam 30% FS
Tyneur is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Thiamethoxam 30% as a flowable concentrate for seed treatment (FS) formulation. It is used as a seed dresser for the protection of cotton against Aphid, Whitefly and Jassids. Thiamethoxam is a systemic neonicotinoid insecticide that, when applied to seed, is taken up by the germinating seedling and provides early-season protection.
Thiamethoxam 30% FS is also registered as a seed treatment in sorghum, wheat, soybean, chilli, okra, maize and sunflower. Unlike a foliar spray insecticide, Tyneur is applied directly to seed before sowing, following the approved product label for seed-dressing rates.

Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid insecticide that binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) in the insect central nervous system, causing continuous nerve excitation and paralysis. As a seed treatment, it is absorbed by the germinating seedling and translocated systemically, providing protection against early-season sap-sucking pests. Thiamethoxam is classified under IRAC Group 4A (nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonists).
Tyneur (Thiamethoxam 30% FS) is applied directly to cotton seed as a seed dresser at the rate specified on the approved product label, before sowing, rather than as a field spray.
