Maxxogen – Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC

Maxxogen is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% as a suspension concentrate (SC) formulation. It is used for the control of American bollworm, Spotted bollworm and Tobacco caterpillar in cotton. Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide insecticide that acts on the muscle function of susceptible larvae.

Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC is also registered for use in rice, cabbage, sugarcane, tomato, chilli, brinjal and pigeon pea. As a suspension concentrate, Maxxogen is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the approved product label.

Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide insecticide that activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells, causing uncontrolled release of calcium ions from internal stores. This leads to impaired muscle regulation, paralysis, feeding cessation and eventual death of susceptible larvae. Chlorantraniliprole is classified under IRAC Group 28 (ryanodine receptor modulators).

Maxxogen (Chlorantraniliprole 18.5% SC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
