Shield Pro – Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.6% ZC
Shield Pro is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% and Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.6% as a ZC (zeon) formulation. It is used for the control of the bollworm complex in cotton. Chlorantraniliprole and Lambda-Cyhalothrin act through two different modes of action on the insect muscle and nervous system.
Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.6% ZC is also registered for use in pigeon pea, brinjal, okra and rice. As a ZC formulation, Shield Pro is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the approved product label.

This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscle cells, causing uncontrolled calcium release and paralysis (IRAC Group 28). Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that modulates voltage-gated sodium channels, causing prolonged nerve depolarization (IRAC Group 3A). Together, they provide combined larvicidal and contact/knockdown activity against the bollworm complex.
Shield Pro (Chlorantraniliprole 9.3% + Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.6% ZC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
