Metryne Pro – Metsulfuron Methyl 10% + Chlorimuron Ethyl 10% WP
Metryne Pro is a herbicide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Metsulfuron Methyl 10% w/w and Chlorimuron Ethyl 10% w/w as a wettable powder (WP) formulation. It is used as a pre-emergence herbicide (applied 3 days after transplanting) for controlling weeds such as Cyperus iria, Cyperus difformis, Fimbristylis miliacea, Eclipta alba, Ludwigia parviflora, Cyanotis axillaris, Monochoria vaginalis and Marsilea quadrifoliata in transplanted rice. Both active ingredients belong to the sulfonylurea chemical group.
As a wettable powder, Metryne Pro is mixed with water before spray application. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, weed, dose and timing recommendations on the product label for transplanted rice.

Both Metsulfuron methyl and Chlorimuron ethyl are sulfonylurea herbicides that inhibit the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, which is required for the biosynthesis of branched-chain amino acids in plants. This combined action blocks cell division and growth in susceptible sedge and broad-leaved weeds in transplanted rice. Both active ingredients are classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 2 (ALS inhibitors).
Metryne Pro (Metsulfuron Methyl 10% + Chlorimuron Ethyl 10% WP) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a pre-emergence spray in transplanted rice at 3 days after transplanting, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
