  • Contains Metribuzin 70% as the active ingredient
  • Formulated as a Wettable Powder (WP)
  • Herbicide category product for weed management
  • Registered use in soybean, among other listed crops
  • Controls grassy and sedge weeds
  • Root-absorbed, Photosystem II-inhibiting mode of action

Metribuzin is a triazinone herbicide that inhibits photosynthesis by binding to the D1 protein of Photosystem II, blocking electron transport in the photosynthetic pathway of susceptible weeds. It is absorbed mainly by plant roots and translocated to the leaves, where it disrupts energy production, leading to chlorosis and death of susceptible weeds. Metribuzin is classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 5 (Photosystem II inhibitors).

Metgro (Metribuzin 70% WP) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a uniform spray in soybean, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the timing recommended on the approved product label.

  • Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and spraying
  • Avoid spray drift onto sensitive or non-target crops
  • Keep out of reach of children and away from food, feed, and water sources
  • Store in a cool, dry place in original packaging
