- Contains Bispyribac Sodium 10% as the active ingredient
- Formulated as a Suspension Concentrate (SC)
- Herbicide category product for weed management
- Registered use in transplanted rice
- Controls grassy and sedge weeds including Ischaemum rugosum and Cyperus spp.
- Systemic, ALS-inhibiting mode of action
Bispyribac sodium belongs to the pyrimidinyl benzoate chemical group and acts as an inhibitor of the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, which is required for the biosynthesis of the branched-chain amino acids valine, leucine and isoleucine in plants. Blocking this enzyme halts cell division and growth in susceptible weeds. Bispyribac sodium is absorbed by both foliage and roots and is classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 2 (ALS inhibitors).
Blaire (Bispyribac Sodium 10% SC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a post-emergence foliar spray in transplanted rice at 10–14 days after planting, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
