Minati – Ethephon 39% SL
Minati is a plant growth regulator manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Ethephon 39% as a soluble liquid (SL) formulation. It is used to break alternate bearing tendencies in mango. Ethephon releases ethylene gas upon absorption into plant tissue, a natural hormone that regulates flowering, fruit ripening and other physiological processes.
Ethephon 39% SL is also registered for flower induction in juvenile mango, post-harvest treatment for uniform ripening in mango, flower induction in pineapple, and uniform berry ripening in coffee (Arabica and Robusta). As a soluble liquid, Minati is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, dose and timing recommendations on the approved product label.

Ethephon is an ethylene-releasing plant growth regulator. Upon absorption into plant tissue, it breaks down to release ethylene gas, a natural plant hormone involved in regulating flowering, fruit ripening, senescence and abscission. In mango, this ethylene release is used to help break alternate (biennial) bearing tendencies and to promote more uniform flowering and fruiting patterns.
Minati (Ethephon 39% SL) is diluted in the recommended volume of water to the specified concentration and applied as a foliar spray in mango, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
