Laurent – Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.9% CS
Laurent is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.9% as a capsule suspension (CS) formulation. It is used for the control of Bollworms in cotton. Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, and the capsule suspension formulation encapsulates the active ingredient for controlled release after application.
Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.9% CS is also registered for use in paddy (rice) against stem borer and leaffolder, and in brinjal against shoot and fruit borer. As a capsule suspension, Laurent is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the approved product label.

Lambda-cyhalothrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that acts on voltage-gated sodium channels in insect nerve cell membranes, keeping the channels open and causing prolonged depolarization, repetitive nerve firing, paralysis and death of the target insect. In the capsule suspension (CS) formulation, the active ingredient is encapsulated to modulate its release. Lambda-cyhalothrin is classified under IRAC Group 3A (sodium channel modulators).
Laurent (Lambda-Cyhalothrin 4.9% CS) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
