Cloflip – Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG
Cloflip is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Fipronil 40% and Imidacloprid 40% as a water dispersible granule (WG) formulation. It is used for the control of Jassids and Thrips in cotton. Fipronil and Imidacloprid act through two different modes of action on the insect nervous system, providing combined activity against sap-sucking pests.
Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG is also registered for use in sugarcane and groundnut against white grub. As a water dispersible granule, Cloflip is mixed with water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the approved product label.

This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole insecticide that blocks GABA-gated chloride channels in the insect nervous system, disrupting normal nerve function (IRAC Group 2B). Imidacloprid is a neonicotinoid insecticide that binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, causing continuous nerve stimulation and paralysis (IRAC Group 4A). Together, they provide combined contact and systemic activity against sap-sucking and soil-dwelling pests.
Cloflip (Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG) is mixed with the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
