Penfox – Propaquizafop 10% EC
Penfox is a herbicide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Propaquizafop 10% as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation. It is used for the post-emergence control of grassy weeds such as Echinochloa colonum, Echinochloa crusgalli, Digitaria sanguinalis, Dactyloctenium aegyptium and Eleusine indica in soybean. Propaquizafop is an aryloxyphenoxypropionate herbicide selective for grasses in broad-leaved crops.
Propaquizafop 10% EC is also registered for use in blackgram, onion, jute, cotton and groundnut. As an emulsifiable concentrate, Penfox is diluted in water before spray application, and should be used strictly as per the crop, dose, timing and weed recommendations on the approved product label.

- Contains Propaquizafop 10% as the active ingredient
- Formulated as an Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
- Herbicide category product for weed management
- Registered use in soybean, among other listed crops
- Selective, post-emergence control of grassy weeds in broad-leaved crops
- Systemic, ACCase-inhibiting mode of action
Propaquizafop is an aryloxyphenoxypropionate (FOP) herbicide that inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is required for fatty acid biosynthesis in grasses. Inhibition of this enzyme halts lipid synthesis in meristematic tissue, leading to growth cessation and death of susceptible grassy weeds, while broad-leaved crops such as soybean remain unaffected. Propaquizafop is classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 1 (ACCase inhibitors).
Penfox (Propaquizafop 10% EC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a post-emergence foliar spray to actively growing grassy weeds in soybean, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
- Use strictly as per the directions on the approved product label
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment during mixing and spraying
- Avoid spray drift onto sensitive or non-target crops
- Keep out of reach of children and away from food, feed, and water sources
- Store in a cool, dry place in original packaging
