Glonium – Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% w/w SL
Glonium is a herbicide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% w/w as a soluble liquid (SL) formulation. It is used for the control of weeds such as Panicum repens, Borreria hispida, Imperata cylindrica, Digitaria sanguinalis, Commelina benghalensis, Ageratum conyzoides, Eleusine indica and Paspalum conjugatum in tea. Glufosinate ammonium is a non-selective, contact-type herbicide that acts on green plant tissue.
As a soluble liquid, Glonium is diluted in water before spray application. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, weed, dose and timing recommendations on the product label for tea.

Glufosinate ammonium is a non-selective, contact-type herbicide that inhibits the enzyme glutamine synthetase, which is required for ammonia detoxification and amino acid synthesis in plants. Inhibition of this enzyme causes ammonia to accumulate in plant tissue, disrupting photosynthesis and leading to rapid desiccation of exposed green tissue. Glufosinate ammonium is classified under HRAC/WSSA Group 10 (glutamine synthetase inhibitors).
Glonium (Glufosinate Ammonium 13.5% w/w SL) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a directed contact spray to weed foliage in tea, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
