Cypermaxx pro – Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC
Cypermaxx pro is an insecticide manufactured by MaxxGro Agrology Limited, containing Profenofos 40% and Cypermethrin 4% as an emulsifiable concentrate (EC) formulation. It is used for the control of the bollworm complex in cotton. Profenofos and Cypermethrin act through two different modes of action on the insect nervous system, providing combined activity against target pests.
As an emulsifiable concentrate, Cypermaxx pro is diluted in water before spray application. The product is intended for use strictly as per the approved crop, pest, dose and timing recommendations on the product label for cotton.

This combination product acts through two complementary mechanisms. Profenofos is an organophosphate insecticide that inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, causing accumulation of acetylcholine at nerve synapses and leading to overstimulation and paralysis of the insect nervous system (IRAC Group 1B). Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid that modulates voltage-gated sodium channels, causing prolonged nerve depolarization (IRAC Group 3A). Together, they provide combined knockdown and residual activity against the bollworm complex.
Cypermaxx pro (Profenofos 40% + Cypermethrin 4% EC) is diluted in the recommended volume of water and applied as a foliar spray in cotton, using standard knapsack or boom sprayers, following the approved product label.
